Five plans, five data sizes, one page. The range runs from five gigabytes to a hundred and twenty and then to unlimited, and the prices do not climb in the straight line you would expect. Reading the ladder properly takes about two minutes and saves most people a few pounds a month.
The Ladder, Lowest to Highest
UK Plan Smart
Five gigabytes at three pounds fifty, down from a standard five pounds with thirty percent off the first month. EU roaming with a five gigabyte cap, a hundred international minutes, and a thousand UK calls and texts rather than unlimited. The only plan in the range with a capped UK allowance, which is the detail that separates it from everything above.
National Plus
Thirty gigabytes at five pounds, down from a standard ten with half off the first month. Unlimited UK calls and texts, a hundred international minutes, and EU roaming capped at twelve gigabytes. Six times the data of Smart for one pound fifty more at current pricing, which is the steepest value jump anywhere on the list.
UK Plan Super Extra
Seventy five gigabytes at seven pounds fifty. Unlimited UK calls and texts, a hundred international minutes, and roaming that adds India to the EU zone with a twelve gigabyte cap. No struck through price on this card, so the figure shown is the figure.
UK Plan Mega Plus
A hundred and twenty gigabytes at ten pounds. The same unlimited UK allowances, the same hundred international minutes, the same EU and India roaming at twelve gigabytes. Forty five gigabytes more than Super Extra for two pounds fifty.
UK Plan Unlimited
Unlimited data at twelve pounds fifty, down from a standard twenty five with half off the first month. Unlimited UK calls and texts, a hundred international minutes, and the largest roaming cap in the range at thirty five gigabytes across the EU and India.
Every plan on the list also arrives with the same three things: 5G, an instant eSIM option, and no credit check. None of those vary by tier, which is why they are easy to forget when comparing the numbers.
Where the Jumps Are Worth Taking
The move from Smart to National Plus is the one almost everyone should make. One pound fifty buys twenty five extra gigabytes, unlimited UK calls and texts instead of a thousand, and a larger roaming cap. There is no reading of that trade where the smaller SIM only plan wins unless the line is barely used.
Above National Plus the jumps get smaller in value and larger in number. Seventy five gigabytes for two pounds fifty more is good if you need it and pointless if you do not, and the same is true of the hundred and twenty gigabyte plan. The honest test is what your phone reports for the last three months.

The Thing the Ladder Hides
Three of the five prices are first month discounts, and the other two are not. Smart, National Plus and UK Plan Unlimited all revert after thirty days, to five pounds, ten pounds and twenty five pounds respectively. Super Extra and Mega Plus show no struck through price at all.
That matters because the ladder you compare on day one is not the ladder you pay in month two. At standard pricing, Super Extra at seven pounds fifty sits below National Plus at ten pounds while carrying forty five more gigabytes, which inverts the order entirely. Anyone choosing a pay as you go plan on the discounted figures should work out the standing price before committing.
The unlimited plan is its own calculation. At twelve pounds fifty it undercuts Mega Plus by almost nothing in the first month while removing the ceiling entirely, but at a standard twenty five pounds it is the dearest line on the page by a wide margin. It suits people who genuinely cannot predict a month, and nobody else.
Reading It Back
Match the plan to the data you measurably use, then check what it costs in month two rather than month one. For most people that lands on National Plus or Super Extra, and the choice between them comes down to whether seventy five gigabytes is headroom or waste.
Introductory reductions distort this entire comparison and they are redrawn constantly. Current side-by-side figures stay at BlogsBuddy. The complete UK price list belongs to Lyca Mobile.
